Therapeutic yoga classes are scheduled weekly in our comfortable Chatham, NY studio. Classes generally take place each week; if there is a change in schedule it will be listed below the class title.
Please remember that you must be registered for all virtual classes to be admitted to the class. The link to register and the Zoom links are listed below with the appropriate class.
Yoga for Health and Vitality

In this class you’ll learn how to use your body, how to strengthen and support your skeletal structure, SMART movements that help prevent injury, and breathing techniques and meditations that everyone can follow!
In this Therapeutic Yoga class you will learn SMART movements, especially for people who:
- have been injured in yoga in the past
- want a practice that will help support their other athletic activities
- want impactful movements that will help them live longer and healthier
- who want to reduce risk of injury while still getting strong
- who want movements that are practical, simple, and effective
- who feel like they don’t have a yoga body, but want the benefits of yoga

A mindful yoga therapy class for joint care and pain reduction.
Guided movements and simple meditations promote longevity without injury, injury prevention, and balance.
This class accommodates people on a mat or in a chair.
No experience necessary.

A note on class prices…
Our classes may cost more than those found at a gym or other fitness center. Our classes are taught by an experienced yoga instructor and certified yoga therapist; students enjoy the affordability of a group class while getting the benefit of the instructor’s therapeutic training. This expertise is applied in a highly individualized way in each session. We don’t offer one-size-fits-all classes; every class is carefully tailored to the needs of the individuals in the studio.
We also seek to create a sustainable model for our studio, instructors, and community. This includes paying our instructors the rates that their experience and expertise merits.
We are confident that you will feel the difference between our class offerings and those available at gyms and fitness centers, and enjoy the deep sense of support and consideration in each.
Workshops
Workshops at Roots Holistic Wellness are immersive experiences focusing on topics related to your health and wellbeing. Presented by Stephanie Gaylord, these events draw upon her experience as a yoga instructor and her expertise as a Certified Yoga Therapist. A Yoga Therapy workshop for Osteoporosis
